Justin Timberlake releases a four-part docuseries on Apple TV next month, featuring controversies involving Janet Jackson, Britney Spears, and more.
Justin Timberlake is preparing to release a four-part docuseries on Apple TV next month, described as a “tell-all” and featuring interviews with Janet Jackson over the infamous 2004 Super Bowl “wardrobe malfunction.” The series is also set to delve into some of the drama surrounding Timberlake and former girlfriend Britney Spears.
Directed by Fisher Stevens, little is known about the series so far, other than the fact it should be released on Apple TV in December. Timberlake worked with the streamer back in 2021 when he starred in the Apple Original film, Palmer.
It’s an interesting time for a tell-all docuseries, given that Timberlake has remained relatively low profile since his DWI arrest in Sag Harbor, New York, in 2024. He most recently made a guest appearance during Jay-Z’s concert in Paris last month but has otherwise kept it on the down-low since his Forget Tomorrow Tour.
Last year, he announced that he had been diagnosed with Lyme disease, which he said affected some of his performances on the world tour. Fans pointed out that Timberlake had appeared sluggish during some shows, which he chalked up to the fatigue and nerve damage he had experienced from the disease.
“I’ve been battling some health issues and was diagnosed with Lyme disease—which I don’t say so you feel bad for me—but to shed some light on what I’ve been up against behind the scenes,” he wrote at the time. “If you’ve experienced this disease or know someone who has—then you’re aware: living with this can be relentlessly debilitating, both mentally and physically.”
In 2025, Timberlake was convicted of a DWI from his arrest in Sag Harbor the previous year, when he was pulled over by police in June 2024 after running a stop sign and swerving outside of his lane. The incident happened shortly before the start of the Forget Tomorrow Tour, and Timberlake had been quoted as saying that it was “going to ruin the tour.” However, police bodycam footage released more recently showed that he actually said something about the fact he was on tour, not specifically that his arrest was going to ruin it.
