Australia’s New Year’s bash Beyond the Valley 2026 has sold out before tickets even reached the general public.
This year’s edition of Australia’s New Year’s festival, Beyond the Valley, has already sold its entire ticket allocation before they even reached the general sale. The 11th edition of the festival returns to Barunah Plains from December 28 to January 1. As a result of the tickets selling so quickly, the planned onsale for Friday, August 7, was cancelled.
It’s an even faster sell-out than last year’s 10th anniversary celebration, which sold out in under an hour once the onsale began. Last year’s festival saw 40,000 attendees on Victoria’s Barunah Plains across four days over the New Year holiday weekend.
The demand for this year’s edition is a significant boon for Australia, as its festival market has been struggling even more than most between rising costs and other economic pressures. A second consecutive sell-out spells great news for the local economy and a show of confidence in Beyond the Valley, which promises not to disappoint.
John Summit headlines the festival, with a rare Australian appearance by the Black Eyed Peas, Dutch electronic artist K1/K1 delivering a three-hour set, and the return of UK grime pioneer Skepta. The lineup also features Ocean Alley, Overmono, Nia Archives, Vince Staples, The Veronicas, Armand Van Helden, Jayda G, Ewan McVicar, Job Jobse, Hamdi, salute, SPFDJ, Boys Noize, Hannah Laing, Odd Mob, and more.
There will also be live podcasts, interactive experiences, a wider programming list of festival activities—and, of course, camping.
For those who weren’t able to secure tickets, festival organizers have directed would-be buyers towards its official Tixel resale waitlist. Beyond the Valley is presented by Untitled Group and triple j, with support from the Victorian government.
John Summit has established himself in the EDM circuit, renowned for his dynamic live performances and immersive visuals. He recently performed at Lollapalooza, marking an incredible year for the rising star.
Tickets for his November appearances at Miami’s Kaseya Center and Chicago’s United Center just went on sale, illustrating his continued ascent. Both Chicago and Miami consistently rank as top destinations for high-production EDM shows. Additionally, dance music remains among the live entertainment industry’s best-selling genres.
