As Arizona State football navigates the completion of fall camp and preparation for the 2026 season, another massive decision has been made by Kenny Dillingham regarding the starting lineup.
Kentucky transfer Cutter Boley will start the season-opener against Morgan State on September 5.
The competition was focused primarily between Boley and sixth-year veteran Mikey Keene over the past few weeks.
Boley threw for 2,160 yards, 15 touchdowns and 12 interceptions last year with Kentucky. He also had two rushing touchdowns.
Boley has been consistent through camp, and more and more of the first team reps have gone his way as camp has progressed over recent weeks.
Dillingham has spoken highly of Boley’s ability to take coaching and apply it to the field. Limiting turnovers has been a focus for all ASU quarterbacks, and Boley has been able to do that at a relatively successful rate through fall camp.
Now, he’ll get a shot to show that in games.
