VIDEO – Gerald Bourguet and I have been vocal about the changes we believe the Suns need to make to the starting lineup for Phoenix to reach its full potential this season.
“The Suns couldn’t have done a worse job in building a starting 5 around Devin Booker if they had tried”
Rare @GeraldBourguet rant on Book’s aggression, ideal role and supporting cast on a new pod with @eliavgabay!

Not because of the 1-4 record, per se, but more because of how that unit has looked basketball-wise.
Devin Booker is forced into the facilitator role (again) so teams are blitzing and there isn’t enough shooting to space the floor.
Head Coach Jordan Ott has remarked on more than one occasion on players needing to keep track of their man on defense.
They have one of the lowest box out percentages in the league and don’t defend the three well either.
“I do think it’s just not the right fit”
How many changes do the Suns need to make to the starting lineup? @eliavgabay and @GeraldBourguet agreed on the pod they need to consider Collin Gillespie over Jalen Green

The bench has been a bright spot. Guys like Collin Gillespie and Oso Ighodaro are part of the reason why.
We caught up with Ott and Gillespie on gutting through the growing pains.and what makes Desert Vista alum in Ighodaro a unique big.
