The box office still belongs this summer’s twin big hitters as Sony and Marvel’s‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ and Universal’s ‘The Odyssey’ clung to their positions in first and second place.
‘Brand New Day’ had an impressive $70 million (a 51% drop), one of the best third weekends at the box office ever. Domestically, the movie is now past $785.8 million, and at the global scale, has crossed $2 billion, becoming the second-fastest title after ‘Avengers: Endgame’ to achieve that goal.

As for Christopher Nolan’s epic, ‘The Odyssey’ earned $23.2 million, pushing it across the half-billion mark at the domestic box office. Both of the top two show no sign of slowing down.
All told, the big hitters have helped push the overall summer box office beyond $4 billion for only the second time since the pandemic.

It was a battle of prehistoric proportions for third, as animated family offering ‘Paw Patrol: The Dino Movie’ tangled with terrible lizard-filled thriller ‘The End of Oak Street.’
Ultimately, the pups won out, earning $20.5 million, while ‘Oak Street’ nipped at its heels with $20 million.
With the live-action dino thriller in fourth, that meant K-Pop celebration movie ‘Katseye: Wild Hearts’ was fifth, earning $3.6 million.
