Irish attention will be on round one of the men’s 100m during the morning session of Day 2 of Birmingham 2026.

Both Israel Olatunde and Bori Akinola will compete, with the 100m heats commencing at 11.15am.

The evening session will hopefully be much busier from an Irish perspective – but that is dependent on athletes qualifying.

Sarah Healy will compete in the women’s 5000m Final at 7.25pm, while Jack Raftery will take to the start line for the men’s 400m semi-finals at 9pm – they are the only two Irish athlete assured of competition during the Tuesday evening session.

If Olatunde and/or Akinola reach the men’s 100m semi-finals, they will be in evening action at 8.32pm, with the final of that event at 9.45pm.
