Every club’s last chance to add to its playing list before the national draft has arrived, with the Delisted Free Agency Period opening on Monday morning to give a number of players an AFL lifeline.
Heading into the period, a total of 105 players have been delisted and not traded to a rival club, leaving dozens of hopefuls of a chance to play elsewhere at the top level in 2027.
St Kilda last month confirmed its intention to pick up 250-gamer Jake Stringer this month, in a move that would see the 32-year-old join rare air by playing for a fourth AFL club.

Adelaide will sign 233-game defender Harry Cunningham on a two-year deal at West Lakes, after he turned down a one-year contract to stay at Sydney.
Elsewhere, North Melbourne are widely tipped to welcome Elijah Tsatas and Samson Ryan to Arden this week, with the duo cut from Essendon and Richmond respectively.
Carlton has long been linked with former Collingwood half-back Wil Parker, after also attracting interest from Port Adelaide.
The Power are, however, expected to sign ex-St Kilda utility Isaac Keeler as a Category B rookie through the additional First Nations list spots that have been introduced for the 2027 season.
Veteran defender Zac Williams is another who has gained interest from clubs under similar circumstances, while out of Arden Street, small forward Robert Hansen is another AFL-ready First Nations player.
19 PLAYERS WHO COULD EARN AFL LIFELINE: New coach’s early recruits; clubs eye last list shake-up
And while he hasn’t played at AFL level since Round 10, 2022, foxfooty.com.au’s Ben Waterworth revealed last month that former Sydney Swan James Bell has notable interest from GWS as a candidate for the league’s new list spot initiative.
Several clubs have also delisted players while leaving the door open for them to train over summer and earn back a list spot. Essendon has left the door open for Nik Cox, Tom Edwards and Kayle Gerreyn to do so, while Carlton could welcome back twins Lucas and Ben Camporeale.
Richmond also looks likely to offer Steely Green a similar opportunity.
Nine players have been delisted this off-season with the promise of being re-drafted by their club later this month, headlined by Gold Coast key forward and former No.1 pick Jamarra Ugle-Hagan.
The other eight names include Riley Garcia (Western Bulldogs), Ryan Byrnes (St Kilda), Dan Butler (St Kilda), Elliott Himmelberg (Gold Coast), Harry DeMattia (Collingwood), Jaren Carr (Fremantle), Luke Lloyd (Brisbane) and Koby Evans (Brisbane).
The likes of Jesse Hogan (GWS to Collingwood) and Bodie Ryan (Hawthorn to Melbourne) were initially delisted by their former clubs, but eventually joined their new homes via a trade last month.
In preparation for their joining of the AFL in 2028, Tasmania has recruited delisted trio George Stevens (Geelong), Jack Williams (West Coast) and Xavier Walsh (Port Adelaide) to play for their VFL side next season.
The period officially begins at 9am AEDT on Monday, and closes at 5pm AEDT on Friday, November 6.
