Sean Combs was rushed from federal prison to the hospital over the weekend after suffering a reported head injury. Details remain scarce.

Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence at Fort Dix in New Jersey, was rushed to the hospital on Saturday after suffering a “non-life-threatening” head injury, according to the Los Angeles Times. The 56-year-old music mogul was reportedly conscious and speaking before his hospitalization and was returned to the prison later that day. The cause of his injury is currently unknown.

“We are aware of the reports concerning Sean Combs and are working to confirm the circumstances,” said a Combs representative. “Sean’s health and well-being are our immediate concern, and we appreciate everyone who has reached out.”

News of his injury arrives after his release was pushed back by two months following an NBC News report last month that claimed Combs had access to contraband, including cell phones and outside liquor. The report also detailed Combs’ supposed life in relative luxury behind bars, where he has fellow inmates cooking and cleaning for him in exchange for cash wired to their commissary accounts. Following that report, Combs was stripped of more than 40 days’ good conduct time, delaying his release from January to March 2028.

Combs was convicted of two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution in October 2025 following a highly publicized trial in which he managed to evade the more serious charges against him. The disgraced music mogul could have received a life sentence if he had been found guilty of the racketeering and sex trafficking charges he initially faced.

But his legal troubles have only intensified since his incarceration. He was recently ordered to pay NBCUniversal nearly $500,000 in legal fees after losing a $100 million defamation suit over the documentary, “Diddy: The Making of a Bad Boy.” His release date has been moved back and forth several times since his sentence began, having been positively affected by his supposed good behavior and negatively impacted by a reported prison fight.
