Live Nation and MGM Resorts open Vinyl Room Las Vegas, a music-anchored dining experience in a design inspired by Japanese hi-fi listening lounges.
Vinyl Room Las Vegas, located on the rooftop of Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino, is now open. According to creators Live Nation and MGM Resorts, it’s a music-driven dining and nightlife experience pairing high-fidelity listening with bold Asian-inspired cuisine, music-inspired cocktails, and panoramic views of the Las Vegas Strip.
The 15,000-square-foot destination features three main spaces: the 78 Lounge, the 45 Dining Room, and the exclusive 33 Members Room. Aesthetically, Vinyl Room draws inspiration from Japanese hi-fi listening lounges popular in the 1970s.
“Guests can settle in for happy hour, share dishes over dinner, and indulge in the incredible cocktail menu as the experience evolves from sunset into late night,” reads Live Nation’s description.
Vinyl Room was designed “with music at its core,” with every detail intended to encourage guests to listen and connect with intention. Designed by Blueprint Studio, Vinyl Room was created to support an immersive, music-first experience.
“The experience starts with music. We approached the project as a listening room inspired by the iconic Japanese hi-fi lounges of the 1970s, then thoughtfully layered in a dining and cocktail program that complements, rather than competes with, the music,” shared David Codiga, President of Blueprint Studios.
Vinyl Room features a collection of nearly 5,000 vinyl records, many by artists who have performed in Las Vegas, sitting alongside signed albums, vintage audio equipment, and rare music memorabilia. A custom wheatpaste poster wall by Memphis-based papermaker Colleen Couch pays tribute to decades of Las Vegas performances, drawing on a longstanding music-culture tradition of turning walls into living archives.
Daily Sunset Sessions featuring DJs spinning laid-back selections that complement the golden hour take place from 6 to 9 PM, creating an atmosphere for conversation, cocktails, and iconic views of the Las Vegas Strip. On Mondays, Disco’s Revenge brings the energy of a downtown disco night with classic disco, deep grooves, funk, and more. Tuesdays celebrate Latin culture with Pura Vida, featuring reggaeton, Latin pop, salsa, bachata, and more.
“Every evening is thoughtfully curated to create a listening experience that brings people together, making Vinyl Room a destination where great music, great food, and unforgettable views come together,” said Kurt Melien, President of Live Nation Las Vegas.
Membership at Vinyl Room includes access to the private 33 Members Room, dedicated concierge service, members-only events, Las Vegas concert tickets, and more. The venue is available for private events, including corporate gatherings, brand activations, receptions, and celebrations. Vinyl Room is open daily from 3 PM, with reservations available through OpenTable.
