Ticketmaster is launching an integration with CashorTrade that allows verified tickets to be resold on the latter’s marketplace at face value or below.

In the latest narrative-bucking development, CashorTrade, a self-proclaimed leader of the face value ticket movement, has integrated with Front Gate Tickets, the Austin-based festival ticketing company that has become a bid-deal access platform for festivals in North America. Festivals like Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Bourbon & Beyond, Lost Lands, Ultra Music Festival, and more make up the extensive client list.
Perhaps the most incongruous detail here is that Front Gate is wholly owned by Live Nation and Ticketmaster, companies routinely dragged over high-priced tickets and gouged fans.
The integration builds on Front Gate Tickets’ commitment to delivering a verified ticketing experience at every stage while enabling CashorTrade to deliver its Verified Face Value Resale to festival fans, building toward one verified standard, regardless of where a fan bought the ticket. Festival passes are a multi-day investment and planned months ahead. When plans change, fans can now pass a ticket to another fan at the price they paid, with nothing added on top.
“Every new integration is another door we open for fans who just want to see a show and pay the original, face value price,” said Brando Rich, CEO and founder, CashorTrade. “Festival fans plan their whole year around these weekends. Now, when plans change, they can hand a pass to another fan at face value, verified at the source.”
“Festival goers should be able to buy resale tickets for festivals knowing they’re getting the real thing,” added Andrew Sider, EVP of Festivals and General Admission at Ticketmaster. “By extending Front Gate Tickets’ verification process to CashorTrade, we’re giving fans another trusted place to buy and sell legitimate tickets at face value or below.”
CashorTrade’s verified face value resale works by authenticating tickets directly with Front Gate Tickets, confirming their legitimacy at the source. Original purchase prices, including fees, are verified against the original transaction, and listings are capped at face value or below. Sold tickets are then reissued to the buyer in the CashorTrade app.
CashorTrade remains independent and fan-to-fan, and every listing still follows the Face Value Policy. Now, Front Gate joins Ticketmaster and other CashorTrade integration partners to provide authenticated tickets at face value for fans in a safe environment.
