Chaos AI, a space for music creators to collaborate, has announced a $1.4 million pre-seed fundraising round led by Bridford Group and Amuse.

Chaos AI, an app providing a “unified space” for music creators to collaborate, has announced a £1 million ($1.4 million) pre-seed fundraising round led by Bridford Group alongside leading music distribution company Amuse and a group of high-profile investors across the music industry.

Designed as a “home for the creative process,” the Chaos app aims to unite communication, file sharing, feedback, and lossless live writing rooms together in one integrated space to streamline the process of collaborating. Chaos is built around a bespoke provenance layer that fingerprints contributions and preserves a record of the creative process to ensure creators have full transparency and control of their work.

The investment will enable Chaos to expand its offering and focus on advanced collaboration features and scaling its ecosystem. It will aid in advancing the infrastructure’s intelligence to help organize information, understand projects, and automate repetitive tasks, while crucially leaving the act of music creation under human control. Chaos plans to accelerate its expansion across the UK and the US ahead of its public launch on October 29.

A self-taught musician and producer, founder Ruhan Verma created Chaos to solve his lifelong frustration in watching creative work become fragmented across messaging threads, disconnected files, and siloed software. Chaos strives to allow the entire creative process to live in one place with clear attribution, enabling artists to move faster and collaborate instantly.

Founded just 18 months ago, the company already boasts a waitlist of over 15,000 creators. Its primary focus is music, but the platform is being rebuilt to accommodate a broader range of collaboration use cases ahead of its wider launch.

Recently, Chaos opened an office in London that features an in-house recording studio for artists and producers. It currently operates as a six-person team split between its London and New York offices, and every member is a musician or producer, bringing firsthand experience of the creative process to the platform as they build it.

“I started producing music when I was 13, and over the year I’ve been lucky enough to work with some incredible artists and producers. So much effort that goes into the creative process gets lost purely because of disconnected tools, and current creator tools felt outdated,” said Ruhan Verma, founder of Chaos.

“There is an opportunity here to improve tools available to creators and build Chaos to replace music’s outdated and fragmented software. We are grateful to our investors and industry leaders backing our vision.”
